LOCATION

Where is Tamarind situated?
Tamarind is located at the northern end of St. Lucia on Cap Estate, a development of luxury villas.
Many St. Lucians, British and Americans live on the estate. Ten minutes walking distance from the house are some beautiful hiking trails along the Atlantic coast and some lovely secluded unspoilt beaches.
The superb Cap Estate golf course and country club is minutes away by car, also squash, tennis and a gym. Beaches are close by with scuba diving, sailing, and other water sports.
Castries, the capital is 40 minutes away; Soufriere is an hour's drive with its slower more relaxed life style, the twin Pitons, sulphur springs, tropical rain forest, excellent beaches, and marvellous local restaurants

Tell me more about St. Lucia
The most beautiful island in the West Indies, St. Lucia is well known for the dramatic views of the twin Pitons rising to 2000 feet above the Caribbean in Soufriere.
You can swim from beautiful golden sandy beaches and explore dramatic tropical rainforests in the same day.
Equally dependent on tourism and agriculture (mostly bananas) the island is politically stable; it's strong French heritage means that restaurants are of a high standard and there is lots of interesting French and British colonial history.
